Senior Infrastructure Specialist

Location: Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect new technologies that support our mission to win F1 World Championships.
• Deliver innovations that question conventional thinking and improve the capabilities of the IT department.
• Provide visionary roadmaps on IT infrastructure for future years.
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for a broad range of IT support topics.
• Manage stakeholders within IT and the business while delivering complex projects.

Experience Required

• Operational support at a senior technical level within a medium to large sized enterprise.
• Planning, organising, leading, and delivering complex, fast-moving workloads with internal and external 3rd party resources.

Technical Knowledge

Candidates must demonstrate deep knowledge across the following domains:

• Architecting enterprise applications, middleware, and infrastructure technologies.
• Managing and deploying to cloud platforms.
• Database support, administration, and optimisation.
• Scripting, orchestration, and automation techniques.
• Capacity, performance, and availability monitoring.
• Security, vulnerability, and malware threat prevention.
• Financial planning / cost management for IT infrastructure and projects.
• Desirable: Knowledge of testbed and simulation platforms or working experience within a Formula 1 or equivalent high-performance business.

Qualifications & Attributes

• Degree or relevant qualifications in a technology or science subject.
• Hold the following (or relevant equivalent): CCNP, ITIL v3/v4 foundation level.
• Diligent and show attention to detail.
• Passionate about infrastructure; show a growth mind-set.
• Flexible and open; a true team player.
• Success driven, capable of performing under pressure and overcoming challenges.
• Target and deadline driven.
• Prior experience working within F1 or passion for the F1 is a must.
