Role Purpose andResponsibilities
- Toestablish and maintain calm, positive behaviour so that every pupil can learn,with any class from Nursery to Year 6.
- Todeliver lessons planned by the class teacher to whole classes, groups andindividuals, including PPA cover and short-term absence cover; to mark workfrom lessons covered; and to deliver interventions.
- Toensure their safety and welfare and support the inclusion of pupils in allaspects of school life.
- Anyduties as may be reasonably directed by the Headteacher and theaccountabilities expected of support staff at Osmani.

Are you:
- Somebodywho holds HLTA status, or is working towards it with a Level 3 qualification orequivalent experience of supporting whole class learning.
- Somebodywho can establish calm, positive behaviour with whole classes of any age,applying the school's behaviour policy consistently, fairly and firmly.
- Somebodywith secure knowledge across the primary curriculum who can confidently deliverlessons planned by the class teacher, lead whole classes independently andcover teacher absences
- Somebodywho can direct the work of Learning Support Assistants in the classroom
- Somebodywho is ICT proficient (able to use Word and Publisher programmes)
- Somebodywho is flexible, hardworking and passionate about their work
- Somebodywho is able to work as part of a team.
- Resilient,flexible and adaptable
- Somebodywho enjoys working with children and has some experience of working withchildren with Special Education Needs
