Company Description

OSLO made in heaven is a dessert brand specializing in dreamy Angel Cakes and artisan gelato, crafted with seasonal flavors and flowers. Founded as a family business in 1997, the company continues to handcraft its products with attention to detail and quality. Beyond cakes, OSLO promotes a way of eating, hosting, and sharing through curated events, catering, and wholesale partnerships. OSLO is growing fast. Having launched in Milan, we're now opening our first London location - and we need someone sharp, organized, and ready to roll up their sleeves to help us get there. The team values curiosity, passion, and diversity, and looks for people who appreciate creativity and memorable dessert experiences. Joining OSLO means becoming part of a close-knit environment that blends tradition with modern hospitality.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Founding Associate role based in London, working directly with the founders to launch and grow OSLO's first UK location. This isn't a behind-a-desk role. To do it well, you need to know the business from the inside out - that means working shifts in the shop, finishing cakes, scooping gelato, and understanding every detail of the product and the customer before helping us scale it. The best ideas for growth come from the people who know the shop floor firsthand.

What you'll do

  • On the ground
    • Work in-store shifts covering service, cake finishing, prep, and presentation
    • Ensure a warm, professional guest experience, including on-site presence at events and pop-ups
  • Operations & coordination
    • Manage email correspondence with clients, suppliers, and event partners
    • Coordinate events and catering from inquiry through to execution
    • Help coordinate schedules, suppliers, and logistics to ensure smooth day-to-day service
    • Build and maintain the organizational systems — spreadsheets, schedules, orders — that keep the shop running as we scale
  • Growth & founders' support
    • Support project management for new initiatives such as product launches, collaborations, and pop-up events, from research through execution
    • Help with basic financial and performance tracking, preparing simple reports, and spotting ways to optimize processes
    • Contribute to brand-building activities, including social media support and customer communication
    • Contribute more broadly to business development and expansion as OSLO establishes itself in London

What you bring

  • Exceptional organizational skills — this is nonnegotiable — with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines at once
  • A hands-on, figure-it-out mindset; no task is too small, from scooping gelato to building a spreadsheet
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced hospitality or food environment; prior experience in F&B, events, or retail is a strong plus
  • Some food & beverage experience, and UK food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain it)
  • High level of initiative, curiosity, and problem-solving ability; comfortable taking ownership and learning new skills on the fly
  • Genuine interest in desserts, food culture, and hosting, aligned with OSLO's values
  • Ability to work on-site in London, with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends around events

Why this role matters

We're building something special at OSLO London — a community, not just a shop. This role is for someone who wants to understand the business deeply, from frosting a cake to helping shape its next city.
