We are seeking a senior Head of EFX Trading to lead our FX trading and liquidity function, with a focus on Emerging Markets and G10 currencies. This role will oversee a team of traders, drive EM-focused trading strategy, and manage FX risk and liquidity to support global payment flows. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to build, operate, and scale trading infrastructure while developing talent within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of FX/Crypto traders; define strategy, risk limits, and performance objectives.
  • Oversee global trading across G10 and Emerging Market currencies via electronic trading channels.
  • Execute and supervise trading across spot, forwards, NDFs, and swaps, particularly in less liquid and restricted markets.
  • Work closely with risk teams to design, implement, and continuously refine robust risk management frameworks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations to enhance trading capabilities and infrastructure.
  • Drive the build-out and ongoing enhancement of the EFX trading system, including pricing, execution, and hedging capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional banks, NDF counterparties, EM liquidity providers, brokers, and other market participants.
  • Monitor market structure, capital controls, and regulatory developments across Asian markets.
  • Mentor, train, and upskill existing traders to strengthen team performance and bench depth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of FX trading experience, with strong exposure to both G10 and Emerging Markets.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing trading teams.
  • Deep understanding of NDF markets, EM liquidity dynamics, and capital controls.
  • Strong experience executing institutional-sized trades in EM FX markets.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic trading systems, including APIs and FIX connectivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, enhance, and scale trading systems and workflows.
  • Established network across regional banks and EM liquidity providers.
