OSL Consulting Engineers are the consulting team of nexos, the only fully integrated and most digitally advanced Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) provider in the UK. We are seeking experienced Senior C&I Designers to join our multidisciplinary Engineering team on a contract basis. The role will report into our Lead C&I Engineer and will work on a specific FEED Project with the option to extend into detailed design.
Our ideal individuals will have previous experience of working at Senior Designer level on projects within the chemical and/or pharmaceutical industries. Previous experience of FEED is essential. We operate a hybrid working week with three days per week spent in our project office based in Hessle, East Yorkshire.
Responsibilities:- Produce design documentation and drawings that provide safe, fit for purpose fully integrated solutions which meet and adhere to all specified requirements.
- Ensure that they preserve the original design intent and align with client requirements.
- Identify any changes to design and inform the wider team, in particular the Lead C&I Engineer and Project Engineering Manager.
- Identify any functional, technical, safety or engineering project risks and inform the Lead C&I Engineer.
- Take into consideration manufacture, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning activities when designing solutions.
- Ensure solutions meet all discipline-related legal requirements including CDM, safety, environmental and site licence conditions, and that deliverables and solutions generated are adequately underpinned.
- Ensure understanding and application of relevant legislation, client and project-specific policies, procedures, and design standards.
- Provide necessary engineering input to other disciplines and departments.
