OSL Consulting Engineers are the consulting team of nexos, the only fully integrated and most digitally advanced Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) provider in the UK. We are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team based out on site in East Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical commissioning activities to ensure systems are tested, energised, and handed over safely and in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This is a site-based contract role requiring a proactive, safety-focused professional with strong technical expertise in electrical systems within heavy industrial environments.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Proven commissioning experience within power generation, energy, or heavy industrial projects
- A strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution systems and protection schemes
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and commissioning best practices
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary site team
- A strong understanding of permit-to-work systems and safe isolation procedures
