Commissioning Assurance Engineer Location: RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk Rate: £350 – £400 (Outside IR35) Length: Rolling 6 months Hours: Mon–Fri, 07:30–16:30   Osiris is working with a client to help them find an experienced Commissioning Assurance Engineer to join a specialist engineering and construction team at RAF Lakenheath. This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting critical infrastructure for the US Air Force’s only F-15 fighter wing base in Europe.   Important: Candidates will need to be able to obtain Security Clearance and must not have spent more than 30 consecutive days outside the UK in the last 5 years.   Key Responsibilities: Lead commissioning assurance across all project phases (design to warranty) Ensure systems are tested, validated, and integrated effectively Oversee documentation, compliance, HSE standards and handovers Coordinate with Defence Infrastructure Organisation and multiple stakeholders Provide technical support and problem-solving throughout commissioning Requirements: 5+ years’ experience in commissioning complex systems/infrastructure Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and automation Familiar with commissioning tools, industry standards (e.g. IEC, ASME, OSHA) Experience using digital commissioning platforms Excellent stakeholder and project management skills Preferred: Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Chartered status with CIBSE or similar Project management or commissioning certifications (e.g. PMP, CQE) Additional Info: No accommodation provided Potential for up to 5 years of work
