Quality & Document Controller – Contract – South Wales Day rate outside IR35 We are seeking an experienced Quality & Document Controller for a 12-month contract role on a major heavy industrial construction project in South Wales. The Quality & Document Controller will manage project documentation, technical records, drawing control, CDE workflows and site quality records. This role requires someone detail-focused, organised and confident working with engineers, site teams, subcontractors and document control teams. As Quality & Document Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining drawing registers, revision control, RFIs, technical submissions, inspection records, quality documentation and handover packs. You will also support audits, track missing records and ensure site teams are working from the latest approved information. Essential skills and experience: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in document control, quality administration or technical records management within construction, civils, infrastructure or industrial projects. Strong experience with CDE systems such as Viewpoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Asite, Aconex or similar. Experience managing drawings, transmittals, RFIs, technical queries, inspection records, material certificates, ITPs and handover documentation. Good understanding of construction quality records, as-built documentation and document workflows. Familiarity with ISO 19650 and UK BIM information management principles. Strong attention to detail, accurate record keeping and confident communication skills. Nice to have: Experience in industrial, energy, process plant, heavy civils, steelworks or major infrastructure projects. Bluebeam Revu experience. Knowledge of NEC correspondence or change-control records. CSCS card, plus CCNSG Safety Passport, SSSTS or SMSTS. This Quality & Document Controller role is site-based, 5 days per week, with a 39-hour working week. Start date expected August 2026
