We are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our UK Finance team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This role will support the UK Finance function and local management team by providing timely, accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, supporting informed business decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage rolling monthly forecasts and the annual budget process.
- Establish departmental budgets and ensure accurate cost control and accountability.
- Deliver clear and insightful management reporting across operational performance, revenue, inventory, project accounting, and intercompany activity.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
- Develop and track KPIs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Support the month-end close process and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Work closely with global finance colleagues to align forecasting and reporting methodologies.
- Support statutory audits and respond to ad-hoc requests from senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in FP&A roles, ideally within a fast-paced or manufacturing environment.
- Qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills with strong experience using financial systems and reporting tools.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and producing meaningful financial insights.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with Navision and/or Hyperion and knowledge of US GAAP would be advantageous.
