The Supplier Quality Technician supports supplier quality performance by reviewing, validating, and managing PPAP submissions to ensure compliance with design, regulatory, and customer requirements. This role collaborates with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to drive quality, resolve issues, and support successful product launches.
YOUR IMPACT
- Review PPAP submissions for completeness and compliance with AIAG and customer requirements.
- Validate dimensional data, control plans, FMEAs, material certifications, testing, and MSA results.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve documentation gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Track PPAP status and escalated risks or delays.
- Prepare Part Submission Warrants and approval documentation.
- Maintain accurate PPAP records and revision control.
- Support audits, launch readiness, and design/process changes.
- Review capability studies, Gage R&R, and process validation data.
- Manage interim approvals and supplier resubmissions.
- Initiate and support supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and root cause analysis.
- Provide in‑plant supplier quality support where needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with three (3) or more years of experience in quality, supplier quality, or PPAP coordination.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Experience reviewing dimensional reports, certifications, and validation documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality/document management systems.
- Certifications in quality or AIAG Core Tools.
- Experience with QMS systems, supplier portals, or PPAP platforms.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
- Experience with statistical analysis and process capability.
- Background in manufacturing or supplier quality environments.
- Understanding of PPAP requirements and supplier documentation expectations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective cross‑functional collaboration and supplier communication.
- Ability to identify issues and drive timely resolution.
WORKING CONDITIONS

This role combines office‑based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments. In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings. Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels. Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed. Pay Range: $82,900.00 - $134,300.00. The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
