About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and guest-focused Front Office Supervisor to join our leadership team. In this hands-on role, you will oversee the daily operations of the front office, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of exceptional guest service. You will play a key part in mentoring the team, driving a culture of service excellence, and supporting the Rooms Division Manager in achieving operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and motivate the front office team to deliver exceptional service at every touchpoint
- Ensure seamless check-in, check-out, and reservations processes while maintaining accurate records
- Resolve guest enquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and a solution-focused approach
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and memorable guest experience
- Monitor and maintain front office procedures, cash handling, billing, and audit processes in line with company policies
- Train, coach, and develop team members, fostering a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture
- Assist with rostering, workforce planning, and managing daily staffing levels to meet business needs
- Uphold and promote workplace health and safety, hygiene, and brand standards at all times
About You
- Previous experience in front office or guest services, ideally in a hotel environment, with exposure to supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a passion for guest engagement
- Professional, calm, and solutions-oriented approach, particularly during busy periods or when resolving guest concerns
- Sound knowledge of front office and reservation systems (familiarity with Opera or similar systems is an advantage)
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest accounts, billing, and reporting
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
