The Opportunity

I’m currently working with a well-established Digital Marketing organisation based in Reading that is looking to hire a Data Manager to join its data function. This is a key role within the business, focused on managing and optimising the flow, quality, and utilisation of campaign data across multiple client accounts and internal teams. The position sits at the centre of campaign delivery, ensuring data projects are executed effectively, reporting standards are maintained, and stakeholders have access to reliable, actionable insights.

You’ll work closely with teams across sales, client services, delivery, and operations, helping to drive successful campaign outcomes through strong data management, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining operational data management with commercial impact in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end flow of campaign data across internal systems and client delivery functions
  • Coordinate and oversee data-related projects to ensure timely and accurate campaign execution
  • Maintain high standards of data quality, governance and reporting across multiple workstreams
  • Identify opportunities to improve data processes, workflows and operational efficiencies
  • Produce insights and reporting to support campaign performance and commercial decision-making
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data requirements are understood and delivered effectively
  • Support data compliance and governance in line with GDPR and internal policies
  • Collaborate with client-facing teams to ensure successful onboarding, delivery and optimisation of campaigns
  • Act as a key point of contact for data-related queries, issues, and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Data Manager, Data Operations, Campaign Data or Project Management role
  • Experience within a B2B, marketing, technology or agency environment
  • Strong understanding of data workflows, reporting and quality management
  • Experience managing multiple projects or campaigns simultaneously
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness and ability to understand business and client objectives
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of data protection and GDPR regulations within the UK/EU
  • Experience with CRM systems and campaign management platforms
  • Exposure to data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience improving operational processes or implementing workflow efficiencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
