Role: We're partnering with an established and growing data business based in Nottingham to find a talented Senior Platform Engineer to take ownership of their cloud infrastructure and help shape the next stage of their platform.
This is a hybrid position, with a minimum of 1 day per week required in the Nottingham office.
The
Opportunity: This is a hands-on role offering genuine ownership and influence.
You'll be responsible for the reliability, security, scalability and cost-effectiveness of the company's Azure and Dev Ops estate, while helping transition infrastructure from manually managed environments into a modern, automated and repeatable platform.
You'll play a key role in a significant cloud separation and migration programme, working across Azure, GCP and modern data platforms.
You'll also have the opportunity to establish and improve Dev Ops standards, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, monitoring and disaster recovery practices as the business continues to grow its B2B API and data platform capabilities.
Key
Responsibilities: Own and manage the company's Azure cloud estate, ensuring security, reliability and cost efficiency.
Lead the adoption of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including bringing existing infrastructure under management.
Owning and operating Kubernetes workloads, including deployments, ingress, scaling, upgrades, troubleshooting and day-to-day platform operations.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops.
Support cloud migration and separation projects across Azure and GCP.
Design, automate and test disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
Improve monitoring, alerting and observability across the platform.
Manage cloud security, identity, secrets and certificates.
Provide technical guidance on Azure architecture and platform engineering.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and act as a senior technical escalation point.
Work closely with development and technology teams to improve platform reliability and developer experience.
