A brand-new position has opened for a Technology and AI Manager to join a thriving global logistics and transportation company. The role is being offered on a hybrid basis from their office which is located just outside of London, close to major transport links.
They are looking for a forward-thinking and strategic leader with a data specialised background who can combine their soft and technical skill set to help smoothly assist the company's digital transformation.
The company has 20+ years' experience developing solutions that help connect their clients across multiple industries globally. They have impressive client outreach internationally, with their offices covering multiple continents and several FTSE 100 clients.
The company is driving forward with a data transformation program which includes launching an AI-enabled customer portal, and embedding data-driven decision-making across the organisation. They are looking for someone to own and deliver these initiatives. This is a hugely important hire for the business as they look to leverage the power of data and AI to maximise key areas of their business. We are looking for someone who can act as the bridge between business stakeholders, the technology division, and external technology partners.
We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities to design and deploy AI and ML within the business. The company already has ideas as to where this can work well but are looking for additional ideas, expertise and knowledge.
What are we looking for
The ideal candidate will have fantastic stakeholder skills with extensive evidence of managing and delivering successful data and AI projects – this is really the key requirement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver end-to-end Data and AI projects.
- Work across the technical teams, including Data, AI, Cloud and Software – giving technical oversight and direction.
- Facilitate intra-team communication to optimise solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and SLAs with external vendors.
- Conduct complex system integrations which also fall within the scope of this role.
Requirements
- A strong background in Data & AI.
- Extensive relevant experience in project management.
- BSc in a relevant STEM field.
