About my clientMy client is building an AI work-execution platform for alternative investment firms and their portfolio companies, securely bringing together proprietary data, external sources and workflows. The roleAs Solution Architect, you will bridge customer needs and platform capability, designing how the platform lands inside sophisticated investment firms. You will lead technical discovery with clients, design integration architectures across a Java/Spring core and Python services, and own the trade-offs that make enterprise deployments repeatable rather than bespoke.Key responsibilitiesSolution and integration designLead discovery workshops with enterprise clients and translate requirements into integration architectures covering APIs, auth, data flows and tenancyDesign end-to-end solutions that combine core workflow services with the platform's AI capabilityProduce architecture diagrams, NFR matrices (security, performance, compliance) and implementation roadmaps that engineering signs up toEvaluation and governanceDefine how each client will know the system is working on their data, including acceptance criteria and an accuracy bar agreed before go-liveSet governance with clients, covering autonomy levels, approval workflows, audit trails and accountabilityAdvise clients and internal teams on appropriate AI use and set honest expectations on limitationsDelivery and advisoryEnsure designs respect multi-tenant isolation, auditability and observability standards, aligned with AWS and CI/CD patternsSupport pilots and production cutovers, identifying risks such as data residency, latency and model behaviour, with mitigations that holdContribute to technical pre-sales and PoC scopingTurn one-off solutions into repeatable patterns the next deployment can reuseEssential requirements5+ years in software or infrastructure roles, including 3+ years in client-facing solution, enterprise or technical architectureStrong grasp of REST, AWS, SaaS multi-tenancy and security fundamentalsHands-on familiarity with Python and/or Java, able to read APIs and debug integration issues with engineersExperience scoping or deploying LLM-based capability with enterprise clients, including how success was measuredExcellent client-facing communication and stakeholder managementNice to have: private equity, investment or financial-services workflow experience; enterprise data-governance experience, including AI governance conversations with regulated buyers; AWS Solutions Architect (or comparable) certification; daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code or similar).Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.What's on offerClose collaboration with an Executive Committee with 20+ years' experience serving 400+ leading alternative investment clientsCompetitive compensationThe chance to build something impactful for leading financial services firmsA supportive, collaborative environment in a central London officeOscar Associates (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.To understand more about what we do with your data please review our privacy policy in the privacy section of the Oscar website.
