Cloud Desktop Engineer | 500-550/day (Inside IR35) | 6 months (initially) | London (Hybrid)Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Desktop Engineer to join their Modern Desktop Programme, supporting the transformation of their desktop estate from legacy VDI platforms to modern cloud-based desktop solutions.
You would be responsible for supporting the delivery of cloud desktop services across a global environment, working with technical teams to implement solutions, improve performance and ensure a reliable user experience.
Key
Responsibilities: Support the delivery and implementation of cloud desktop solutions within an enterprise environment.
Assist with the transition of users from existing VDI platforms to modern cloud desktop services.
Analyse and improve the performance, availability and scalability of desktop environments.
Investigate and resolve technical issues across virtual desktop platforms.
Work with global teams to support deployments and ongoing service improvements.
Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvements.
Ensure desktop solutions meet required security and regulatory standards.
Key
Experience:5+ years' experience within IT infrastructure, including at least 2 years working with cloud desktop or VDI technologies.
Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix or similar virtual desktop solutions.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, security and identity management.
Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Power Shell or Terraform.
Understanding of ITIL practices and enterprise change management processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within a global team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
