Based in Manchester City Centre, this dynamic organisation offers a rare blend of autonomy, scale, and agility.

The role is based in the heart of Manchester and offers a base salary between £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE).

You’ll take full ownership of the finance function—leading a talented team of four and playing a key role in the financial integrity of a business that moves significant amounts of money daily. It’s hands-on, fast-moving, and vital to the success of the operation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing the end-to-end finance function, ensuring tight financial controls
• Leading and developing a close-knit finance team
• Producing accurate management accounts and insightful financial reports
• Overseeing high-volume cash flow, reconciliations, and direct debits
• Managing banking relationships and ensuring smooth payment operations
• Supporting external audits and driving continuous improvements
• Optimising systems, streamlining processes, and keeping everything running like clockwork

What You Bring to the Table

Must-Haves:

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager (or equivalent hands-on leadership role)
• A keen eye for detail and unwavering accuracy
• Experience handling large-scale financial transactions
• Deep understanding of financial reporting, controls, and compliance
• Strong team leadership and people development skills
• Confidence managing direct debit processes and bank reconciliations

Nice-to-Haves:

• Background in a transaction-heavy or regulated environment
• Experience in an SME or high-growth business
• Familiarity with finance automation tools and modern accounting systems
