Location: London (Hybrid – 2/3 days onsite in Marylebone)

The Role

We are seeking a skilled BI Developer to join the firm as the first dedicated hire in their Business Intelligence function. This greenfield role offers the autonomy to shape the BI and Data Warehousing strategy from the ground up. You will work closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders, delivering insights that directly influence decision-making across investment, operations, and compliance teams.

This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing a mix of in-office collaboration and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using Power BI, SQL, and Azure Data Services.
  • Build and manage a scalable data warehouse to support reporting and analytics.
  • Develop ETL pipelines to integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all reporting layers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Provide training and support to business users on BI tools and dashboards.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for BI and data within the firm.
  • Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Engineer in financial services or wealth management.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and data visualization best practices.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse).
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in financial data is a plus.
