I'm currently working with a well-established insurance organisation based in Leeds that is looking to hire a BI Analyst to join its growing data and analytics team.

You'll work closely with stakeholders from across the business to understand reporting requirements, develop insightful dashboards and ensure key decision-makers have access to accurate and actionable data.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reports for stakeholders across the organisation.
- Analyse business performance data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Gather reporting requirements from business users and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, manipulate and analyse data.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency and quality of reporting across multiple data sources.
- Work closely with Data Engineers and wider technology teams to improve reporting capabilities.
- Produce regular management information and KPI reporting for senior leadership.
- Support ad-hoc analysis to answer key business questions.
- Document reporting processes and maintain reporting standards.
- Promote best practices around reporting, data quality and business intelligence.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst or similar role.
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying relational databases.
- Experience developing dashboards using Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
- Experience gathering business requirements and working with stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience within the insurance, financial services or other regulated industries.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
- Exposure to Python or R for data analysis.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
