Job Description As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the build and upkeep of reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms that drive business-critical services.
Working alongside senior engineers and architects, you'll contribute to delivering high-quality solutions through automation, optimisation, and best practice adoption.
Responsibilities
Include: Assist with deploying and managing cloud infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid environments.
Contribute to infrastructure builds using Ia C tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
Track system health, security, performance, and spend with appropriate monitoring and alerting solutions.
Help investigate and resolve incidents affecting cloud platforms and services.
Work with senior colleagues to create and maintain reusable infrastructure templates and deployment patterns.
Develop scripts and automation to minimise manual work and speed up delivery processes.
Maintain accurate documentation for infrastructure, support processes, and runbooks.
Essential
Skills:1-3 years of hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, or ARM templates).
Experience with Linux/Unix or Windows server administration in cloud or virtualised environments.
Basic understanding of networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, and VPNs.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Bash, Power Shell) for automation tasks.
Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver, or similar).
Experience working collaboratively in Agile or Dev Ops environments (advantageous).
Relevant cloud certifications (e. g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) are beneficial but not mandatory.
