We are recruiting a Private Client Tax Manager for a highly respected and growing accountancy and advisory firm based in Yeovil. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced private client tax professional to work on a varied portfolio of advisory-focused projects while continuing to progress within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm.

This role is ideal for an experienced Private Client Tax Assistant Manager ready to step up, or an existing Manager seeking broader exposure and long-term progression opportunities.

The Role

As a Private Client Tax Manager, you will play a key role in delivering advisory and compliance support to a diverse portfolio of private clients, including individuals, business owners, agricultural clients, trusts, and partnerships. You will provide advice across a range of private client tax matters including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts, succession planning, remuneration strategies, and benefits in kind. Working closely with senior leadership and colleagues across the wider firm, you will support the delivery of complex advisory projects while ensuring compliance obligations are managed accurately and efficiently. You will maintain proactive communication with clients, HMRC, and other professional advisers, building strong working relationships and providing commercially focused and practical tax advice. The role will also involve reviewing the work of junior team members, supporting their development, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. This position offers exposure to a broad range of private client tax matters, providing excellent opportunities to strengthen both your technical and client-facing expertise.

About You

You will be CTA qualified, with strong experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or private client tax environment. You will have a strong background in inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax, trusts, and complex private client compliance work. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and confidence handling technical tax queries are essential. You will also be comfortable producing advisory reports, managing client relationships, and working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
