We're recruiting an Accounts Assistant Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Truro.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Senior or Assistant Manager looking to take the next step in their career, managing a varied client portfolio and gaining greater responsibility across accounts, tax and business advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
- Review statutory accounts, management accounts and tax computations
- Review VAT returns and other compliance work
- Lead client assignments and ensure deadlines and budgets are met
- Provide accounting, tax and commercial advice to clients
- Identify opportunities to deliver additional services
- Monitor WIP, budgets and assignment profitability
- Liaise with HMRC and other professional advisers
- Support Partners and Managers with client meetings
- Coach, mentor and develop junior team members
- Build strong, long-term client relationships
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
- Strong accountancy practice experience
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Good technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax
- Experience reviewing accounts and supervising junior staff
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Commercially aware and proactive
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Confident dealing directly with clients
- Keen to develop your career within a progressive accountancy practice
