We are recruiting a Tax Trusts Manager on behalf of a highly respected and growing accountancy practice in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager, Trust Tax Manager, or Tax Manager to join a specialist Private Client Tax team, managing a portfolio of trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals while delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of trusts, estates, and high-net-worth clients
- Advising trustees, executors, and beneficiaries on complex tax matters
- Reviewing trust accounts and UK trust tax returns
- Providing Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning advice
- Managing trust and estate compliance
- Handling HMRC enquiries and correspondence
- Preparing technical reports and advisory work
- Building strong relationships with clients and professional advisers
- Supporting the development of the Trusts Estates service line
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
About You
- You'll be CTA and/or STEP qualified (or possess equivalent experience) with previous experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong experience in UK Trusts Estates Tax
- Excellent knowledge of Private Client Tax, Trust Tax, CGT, and IHT
- Experience managing trust and estate compliance
- Confidence dealing directly with HMRC
- Strong technical and advisory skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Experience coaching and developing junior staff
- A proactive and commercially focused approach
