We are recruiting an Audit Assistant Manager in Godalming to lead and manage audit engagements for a variety of clients. This role combines technical audit expertise, team leadership, and client-facing responsibilities, providing exposure to all stages of the audit process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and mentor semi-senior and junior audit staff
- Plan and execute audits, performing risk assessments and designing audit tests
- Review and draft financial statements, audit reports, and schedules
- Liaise with tax teams on provisions and computations
- Ensure audits are delivered with minimal review points and high-quality outputs
- Prepare staff appraisals and manage team performance
- Monitor budgets, timesheets, and client-related expenses
- Perform forecast reviews, sensitivity analyses, and risk reassessments
