A well-established accountancy practice in Guildford is recruiting an Accounts Assistant Manager to join its growing Accounts team. This role is ideal for a qualified ACA / ACCA accountant with strong practice experience who is looking to take on greater responsibility, client ownership and advisory exposure. The position offers a mix of hands-on accounts preparation and review, team supervision and business advisory / corporate finance support, making it a well-rounded opportunity for career progression.
The Role
- Manage a growing portfolio of clients, acting as the primary point of contact
- Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and groups
- Prepare and review year-end working paper files and liaise with auditors
- Manage and oversee group consolidations
- Review accounts and files prepared by junior colleagues
- Support Directors with advisory projects, including due diligence and company valuations
- Deliver management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis with commentary
- Take ownership of assignments from planning through to finalisation
