We are recruiting a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager on behalf of a leading independent accountancy and business advisory firm in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified CTA professional or an experienced Corporate Tax Senior looking to step into an Assistant Manager role. You'll join a growing tax team with a strong advisory focus, working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses across a broad range of corporate tax matters.
The Role
- Working closely with Tax Managers and Partners, you will support the delivery of a wide range of corporate tax advisory projects while continuing to build your technical expertise.
- Assisting with corporate tax advisory projects for SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
- Supporting tax planning and advisory assignments across a range of tax matters.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities within client portfolios.
- Reviewing corporate tax compliance work and using this to support advisory projects.
- Carrying out technical research and preparing written tax advice.
- Attending client meetings and building strong client relationships.
- Working closely with colleagues across tax and business services teams.
- Supporting Partners and Managers on complex advisory assignments.
About You
- CTA qualified (or recently qualified).
- Strong UK Corporate Tax experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
- A solid background in corporate tax compliance.
- An interest in developing your corporate tax advisory skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and commercially focused approach.
- Previous tax advisory experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
