We're recruiting an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join a growing Personal Tax team in Taunton.
This is a primarily compliance-focused role, managing a portfolio of private clients and ensuring their tax affairs are handled accurately, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. You'll work closely with Partners, Directors and colleagues while building strong client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of private client tax compliance work
- Review personal tax returns for accuracy and technical quality
- Act as a key point of contact for clients
- Ensure tax deadlines are met and work is delivered efficiently
- Support and mentor trainees and junior members of the team
- Work closely with Partners, Directors and the wider Personal Tax team
- Maintain high standards of technical accuracy and client service
- Assist with occasional personal tax advisory work where appropriate
About You
- ATT and/or CTA qualified
- Previous experience at Manager level within Private Client or Personal Tax
- Strong personal tax compliance experience
- Excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail
- Confident reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues
- Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
- Professional, organised and commercially aware
- Collaborative team player with a commitment to quality
