Not-for-Profit Audit Manager – Taunton
We're recruiting an experienced Not-for-Profit Audit Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Taunton. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant with experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector. You'll manage a varied portfolio, oversee charity accounts and independent examinations, develop client relationships and support the next generation of professionals.
- Review charity accounts and independent examinations prepared by junior team members
- Support junior staff with the preparation of charity accounts under SORP
- Work closely with the Head of Charities on ad hoc projects and specialist advice
- Deal with charity accounting, taxation and VAT queries
- Review limited company accounts and support wider accounts assignments
- Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns where required
- Coach and develop trainees, helping them build successful careers within the not-for-profit sector
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Previous accounting or audit experience within the charity / not-for-profit sector
- Strong understanding of charity accounting and SORP
- Experience coaching, mentoring or leading junior team members
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
