Overview
In this Accounts Semi Senior role, you will support a busy UK accountancy practice with preparation of statutory accounts and tax computations across diverse client types. You’ll work closely with senior staff, handling year‑end work and client queries while liaising with clients under supervision. The role offers study support and a clear path to Senior Accountant within a collaborative team. You will use cloud accounting tools to manage client records and improve processes. This is a hands‑on opportunity to develop technical skills and client service in a growing practice.

Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Assist with management accounts preparation
- Prepare corporation tax computations and personal tax returns
- Support senior team members with year-end work and client queries
- Liaise directly with clients under supervision
- Work with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Key requirements
- Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Studying towards AAT / ACA / ACCA (or equivalent), or qualified by experience
- Experience preparing accounts to trial balance level
- Some exposure to corporation tax and personal tax
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems
