We are recruiting a Corporate Tax Senior for a leading independent chartered accountancy and business advisory firm based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate tax professional looking to develop their advisory and compliance experience within a highly regarded and collaborative tax team, supporting a varied portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong grounding in corporate tax compliance who is keen to broaden their exposure across advisory projects and progress their career within a supportive and progressive practice environment.
The Role
As a Corporate Tax Senior, you will play a key role in managing and delivering corporate tax compliance and advisory work for a diverse client portfolio, working closely with senior members of the tax team and wider firm. The role will involve:
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns
- Assisting with tax planning assignments
- Supporting advisory projects across a broad range of corporate tax matters
You will work with SMEs and owner-managed businesses, helping to identify tax planning opportunities and delivering practical tax solutions tailored to client needs. You will conduct technical research, prepare clear written advice, and liaise directly with clients to build strong working relationships and provide proactive support throughout the compliance and advisory process.
Alongside your client responsibilities, you will collaborate with colleagues across audit, accounts, and business advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions and ensure a high standard of client service. This position offers excellent exposure to both compliance and advisory work, providing a strong platform for continued professional development and progression within corporate tax.
About You
You will have previous corporate tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment, with strong technical knowledge of corporation tax compliance and a good understanding of tax planning principles. ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification, or progression towards qualification, would be advantageous. You will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to client service. The ability to manage multiple assignments effectively, work independently, and collaborate within a team environment will be essential. Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses would be highly beneficial.
