We are recruiting a Private Client Tax Senior for a growing and highly regarded accountancy and advisory firm based in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced personal tax professional to take ownership of a varied private client portfolio while working closely with Managers, Directors, and Partners on both compliance and advisory matters.

The role offers strong client exposure, technical development, and the opportunity to work with a diverse client base including high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, and partnerships within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

As a Private Client Tax Senior, you will manage a mixed portfolio of private clients, overseeing the delivery of routine personal tax compliance work while supporting a range of advisory projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for your clients, building strong professional relationships and providing a high level of service across a broad range of personal tax matters. The portfolio will include individuals with earned, investment, and property income, alongside owner-managed businesses, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.

The role will involve handling a variety of Capital Gains Tax matters, assisting with ad-hoc advisory assignments, and supporting clients with areas such as EIS, VCT, and SEIS investment reliefs. You will work closely with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver coordinated client solutions while attending client meetings and assisting senior team members with more complex planning and advisory work. Alongside client responsibilities, you will also assist with fee proposals, billing, WIP management, and monitoring portfolio recoverability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to strengthen both their compliance and advisory experience within a growing and professional private client tax team.

About You

You will have previous experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or private client tax environment, with responsibility for managing a personal tax portfolio. ATT and/or CTA qualification, or active progression towards CTA qualification, is essential. You will possess strong technical knowledge across Self-Assessment and personal tax compliance, alongside experience handling tax computations and supporting advisory work. Exposure to EIS, VCT, and SEIS investment reliefs is highly desirable, while knowledge of UK residence and domicile rules would also be advantageous. You will be comfortable researching tax legislation and HMRC guidance while delivering practical and commercially focused advice to clients. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive and client-focused approach are essential for success in this role.
