We are recruiting a Personal Tax Assistant Manager on behalf of a fast-growing and highly regarded accountancy practice in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax Senior or Private Client Tax Assistant Manager looking to take the next step in their career, with exposure to a high-quality portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and private clients.
The Role
As a Personal Tax Assistant Manager, you will manage a portfolio of private clients while working closely with Managers and Partners on compliance and advisory assignments. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of private clients and high-net-worth individuals
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
- Advising clients on UK personal tax matters, including IHT and year-end tax planning
- Supporting complex private client tax advisory projects
- Building strong and lasting client relationships
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing guidance
- Supporting Managers and Partners with technical tax projects
- Managing deadlines, WIP, billing, and workflow across your portfolio
- Identifying opportunities to develop client relationships and services
About You
You'll have:
- CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualification
- Experience working within UK Private Client Tax
- Strong knowledge of personal tax compliance
- Experience managing or assisting with a portfolio of private clients
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
- A collaborative attitude and genuine interest in developing your career
- Experience using IRIS Personal Tax would be advantageous.
