We're recruiting an experienced Personal Tax Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Stamford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CTA or ATT-qualified tax professional with strong UK practice experience who is looking to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of personal tax and private client work.
You'll manage client relationships, review complex tax returns, provide technical advice and support the development of junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including HNWIs, directors, sole traders and partnerships
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and handle technical queries
- Review and sign off Self Assessment tax returns
- Oversee personal tax computations and compliance work
- Ensure tax returns are submitted accurately and within HMRC deadlines
- Manage HMRC correspondence and tax enquiries
- Provide technical advice on Income Tax, CGT and IHT
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation
- Review work and provide technical support to junior team members
- Build strong, long-term client relationships
About You
- CTA or ATT qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Strong personal tax compliance experience within UK practice
- Proven experience reviewing complex personal tax returns
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation
- Experience with HNWIs and private clients advantageous
- Good knowledge of Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Experience supervising or developing junior team members
- Organised, commercially aware and able to manage deadlines
