Management Accountant – Outsourcing – Basingstoke Basingstoke, Hampshire Hybrid Working Competitive Salary + Full Study Support We are recruiting a Management Accountant to join the Outsourcing team of a top accountancy and business advisory firm based in Basingstoke. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to join a growing team, working with a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurial businesses while developing their technical and commercial expertise. This role is ideal for a part or fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA professional with UK practice outsourcing experience who is looking to broaden their client exposure and accelerate their career within a progressive and supportive firm. The Role As a Management Accountant, you will manage a portfolio of outsourcing clients, becoming their primary day-to-day contact and developing a strong understanding of their businesses and financial requirements. You will be responsible for delivering a full range of outsourced accounting services, including processing financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, posting journals, preparing management accounts, and producing accurate financial information to support clients' decision-making. The role will also involve preparing statutory financial statements for a range of businesses, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and Companies Act requirements. Working closely with clients, you will provide practical support, including assisting with accounting software and delivering training where required. You will collaborate with colleagues across tax, payroll, and other specialist departments to deliver a joined-up client service while identifying opportunities to introduce additional services that add value to your clients. Alongside managing client work, you will contribute to improving internal processes, embrace new technologies, and play an active role in supporting the continued growth of the Outsourcing team. The position offers exposure to a wide range of industries and businesses, making it an excellent opportunity to further develop your accounting, commercial, and client relationship skills. About You You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified, with at least two years' UK accountancy practice experience within an outsourcing or management accounts environment. You will have experience preparing management accounts, processing financial information, and working directly with clients to deliver high-quality accounting services. A strong understanding of UK GAAP is essential, with knowledge of IFRS considered advantageous. Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and CCH would also be beneficial. You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. A proactive, client-focused approach, strong commercial awareness, and a willingness to embrace new technology will enable you to thrive in this role.
