Private Client Tax Manager – Accountancy Practice Winchester Hybrid & Flexible Working Competitive, based on experience A growing accountancy and tax advisory practice with offices across Central and Southern England is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join its expanding Winchester Tax team . This is a permanent, full-time position offering ownership of a varied private client portfolio, exposure to advisory work, and the opportunity to develop business relationships, alongside hybrid and flexible working . The Role As Private Client Tax Manager , your responsibilities will include: Managing a diverse portfolio of private client tax cases with minimal supervision Supporting Partners with compliance work and ad hoc private client tax advisory Building and maintaining long-term client relationships , providing high-quality technical and commercial advice Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and companies Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget Liaising and negotiating with HMRC , including responding to enquiries Managing billing and WIP for your own portfolio Identifying and implementing process and systems improvements Participating in business development and marketing activities , including networking Supporting new client meetings and assisting with pricing and fee proposals Collaborating with compliance and advisory teams to identify cross-selling opportunities Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and industry developments Candidate Profile Fully ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified Significant experience within a UK private client tax team Proven experience managing a private client portfolio Strong technical knowledge of UK private client tax Experience with agricultural and rural clients preferred but not essential Trust tax experience beneficial What’s on Offer Hybrid working and flexible hours Opportunity to work closely with Partners on advisory matters Varied role with exposure to compliance and advisory work Competitive salary and benefits package Location Winchester, Hampshire Easily commutable from Southampton, Eastleigh, Basingstoke and surrounding areas Next Steps For a confidential discussion or to apply, please get in touch Jack Wood on or
