A leading accountancy and tax advisory practice in Leeds is seeking a Corporate Tax Director (Advisory) to join its senior leadership team. This is a highly strategic, client-facing role with a strong advisory focus, offering responsibility for complex corporate tax projects, leadership of the corporate tax team, and a key role in business development and growth. This opportunity is ideal for a senior CTA-qualified corporate tax professional looking to operate at Director level with a clear pathway to further progression.
The Role
- Lead and deliver high-value corporate tax advisory engagements, including restructures, acquisitions, disposals, and group planning.
- Provide authoritative technical corporate tax advice, supported by legislation, case law, and HMRC guidance.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across a diverse corporate client base.
- Take ownership of the commercial performance of the corporate tax advisory function.
- Identify, develop, and deliver tax planning opportunities for existing and new clients.
- Work closely with Partners on strategic advisory and growth initiatives.
- Lead business development, including proposals, pitching, and networking.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external professional relationships.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical direction to Senior Managers and Managers.
- Liaise with HMRC on complex technical and advisory matters.
- Ensure robust risk management, governance, and quality control across all engagements.
- Contribute to the wider firm strategy and development of the tax advisory offering.
Candidate Profile
- CTA qualified (essential).
- Extensive post-qualified experience in UK corporate tax advisory.
- Proven experience operating at Senior Manager or Director level.
- Strong technical expertise across corporate tax and related advisory areas.
- Commercially astute with strong judgement of risk.
- Demonstrated success in business development and revenue generation.
- Confident advising at board and shareholder level.
