We're recruiting an Accounts Assistant Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Exeter, supporting a varied portfolio of agricultural, rural and farming clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Senior or Assistant Manager looking to take the next step in their career, develop client relationships and gain greater responsibility across accounts, tax and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with managing a portfolio of agricultural and rural clients
- Prepare and review statutory accounts and tax returns
- Provide accounting, tax and commercial support to clients
- Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact
- Assist with client meetings and advisory work
- Identify opportunities to add value and introduce additional services
- Work closely with Managers, Partners and specialist teams
- Review work and support junior team members
- Help manage deadlines, budgets and workflow
- Develop a strong understanding of clients and their businesses
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or studying towards qualification
- Previous accountancy practice experience
- Strong accounts and tax knowledge
- Experience working with a portfolio of clients
- Agricultural, rural or farming experience advantageous
- Good communication and client relationship skills
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Commercial, proactive and client-focused
- Keen to progress into a management role
