As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will support the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Working closely with managers and senior team members, you will be responsible for preparing accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns for review. You will assist with bookkeeping and VAT return preparation where required, ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
The role will also involve supporting portfolio holders with the compliance requirements of their client portfolios and providing assistance across a range of accounting and tax assignments. Alongside your client responsibilities, you will help support and coach junior team members, acting as a buddy for new starters and contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture. The role offers excellent exposure to a broad range of clients and industries, providing a strong platform for both professional and technical development within practice.
About You
You will have previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice and be looking to further develop your career in a professional services environment. You will possess strong organisational and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. A good understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance work is essential, alongside strong IT skills and a willingness to learn and develop. You will be proactive, professional, and enthusiastic about building a long-term career within accountancy practice.
