We're recruiting an experienced Accounts Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Exeter, working with a varied portfolio of agricultural, rural and farming clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager, Client Manager or Rural Accountant looking to take ownership of client relationships while providing high-quality accounts, tax and commercial advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of agricultural and rural clients
- Prepare, review and sign off statutory accounts and tax returns
- Provide accounting, tax and commercial advice
- Act as a trusted adviser and key point of contact for clients
- Identify opportunities to add value and introduce additional services
- Work closely with Partners, Advisers and specialist teams
- Review work and support the development of junior team members
- Manage budgets, deadlines and workflow across your portfolio
- Attend client meetings and develop a strong understanding of client businesses
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous accountancy practice experience
- Strong accounts and tax knowledge
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Agricultural, rural or farming experience highly desirable
- Confident reviewing and signing off accounts
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Commercial, proactive and client-focused
- Good leadership and mentoring skills
