We're recruiting an experienced Accounts Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Bromsgrove.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified accountant with at least two years' practice experience. You'll work across accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT and management information, while developing your client-facing skills and supporting junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
- Prepare consolidated accounts for small and medium-sized groups
- Prepare corporation tax returns
- Review straightforward VAT returns
- Prepare management accounts and financial information
- Liaise directly with clients and build strong working relationships
- Manage your own workload and daily work plans
- Support and develop less experienced team members
- Assist Managers with client assignments and ad-hoc projects
- Deal with external auditor queries
- Assist with valuations, due diligence and forensic accounting projects where required
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or actively studying
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and commitment to continued development
- Experience with Xero is essential
- Knowledge of IRIS, Alpha, QuickBooks and Sage 50 would be advantageous
- Competent using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Excellent analytical and research abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Keen to progress towards a Supervisor-level position
