A well-established accountancy practice in Winchester is recruiting an Audit Assistant Manager to support the continued growth of its audit team. This role is ideal for a qualified or near-qualified ACA / ACCA auditor ready to step up into a supervisory and client-facing position.
The Role
- Assist in the planning, management and delivery of statutory audit assignments
- Manage audits from fieldwork through to completion under Manager/Partner supervision
- Review audit files and statutory accounts prepared by junior team members
- Supervise, mentor and support Audit Seniors and Semi Seniors
- Act as a key point of contact for clients during audit engagements
- Support Audit Managers and Partners with workflow management and deadlines
- Ensure audit work complies with UK auditing and accounting standards
Candidate Profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist)
- Strong UK audit experience within an accountancy practice (essential)
- Currently operating at Audit Senior level and ready to step up, or already Assistant Manager
- Experience supervising junior staff and reviewing audit work
- Good technical knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards
- Strong communication, organisation and client-management skills
