JC is recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager in Aberdeen to lead corporate tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio. This role is ideal for a CA- or CTA-qualified tax professional with experience in corporate tax compliance, advisory, and planning. You will manage complex corporate tax engagements, provide high-level technical advice, and mentor junior staff while building trusted client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and supervise corporate or personal tax computations for submission to HMRC
- Plan and manage compliance work through to submission of tax returns
- Coordinate tax payments, loss relief, capital allowances, group relief, and other claims
- Review complex tax returns and computations to ensure accuracy
- Provide technical and tax planning advice to clients, liaising with managers and partners
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate tax and financial reporting requirements
- Monitor tax compliance using tax administration software, ensuring internal controls and quality procedures are met
- Liaise with Audit, Accounting, and client service teams to provide a coordinated service
- Support tax advisory and planning projects for client portfolios and ad-hoc assignments
About You
- CA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent) with corporate tax experience
- Proven experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor junior colleagues
- Excellent communication and client relationship management
- Proactive, commercially aware, and detail-oriented
- Right to work in the UK permanently (no visa sponsorship available)
