We're recruiting a Personal Tax Senior for a growing accountancy practice in Spalding.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ATT-qualified or part-qualified tax professional with UK practice experience who is looking to develop their career in personal tax and private client services.
You'll work with a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, company directors and owner-managed businesses, with opportunities to gain experience with larger and more complex clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Self Assessment personal tax returns
- Prepare P11D forms and advise on benefits in kind
- Prepare PAYE Settlement Agreements (PSAs)
- Prepare Capital Gains Tax computations
- Prepare in-year CGT on UK Property returns
- Deal with HMRC correspondence and client queries
- Provide support on personal and partnership tax matters
- Assist with IHT, CGT and Income Tax advisory work
- Support ad-hoc tax projects and technical queries
- Communicate effectively with clients, HMRC and internal teams
- Coach and support junior members of the tax team
About You
- ATT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous personal tax experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of Personal Tax, Partnership Tax and CGT
- Good understanding of Income Tax and IHT
- Experience dealing with HMRC and client queries
- Experience supporting or coaching junior team members
- CCH experience advantageous, but training provided
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Proactive, professional and keen to progress
