We're recruiting an Accounts Senior for a growing accountancy practice in Solihull.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified ACCA/ACA accountant or experienced Accounts Senior with UK practice experience who is looking to progress their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
You'll work with a varied client portfolio, preparing management and statutory accounts, supporting tax compliance, handling VAT and developing strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare management and statutory accounts
- Assist with corporation tax and personal tax compliance
- Prepare and review VAT returns
- Liaise directly with clients and resolve accounting queries
- Support tax planning and wider business advisory work
- Assist with cash flow forecasts and business planning
- Review and support junior team members
- Ensure work is accurate and completed within deadlines
- Use IRIS or similar accounting software
- Work closely with Managers and Directors on client delivery
About You
- ACCA/ACA part-qualified, studying or qualified by experience
- Minimum 3 years' UK accountancy practice experience
- Strong accounts preparation and tax compliance experience
- Good knowledge of VAT and HMRC requirements
- Experience with IRIS or similar accounting software
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Able to manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Proactive, commercially aware and keen to progress
- Confident supporting and mentoring junior staff
