We're recruiting an Accounts Manager for a growing accountancy practice in Peterborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with UK practice experience who wants to take a senior, client-facing role.
You'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing a combination of accounts, tax, planning and business advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage workflow, deadlines and staff allocations
- Manage a diverse portfolio of accountancy practice clients
- Build strong, long-term client relationships
- Understand client objectives and identify opportunities to add value
- Organise and attend client meetings
- Review and oversee annual accounts and tax returns
- Manage one-off advisory and planning projects
- Ensure work is accurate, compliant and delivered on time
- Review work completed by junior team members
- Coach and mentor junior accountants
- Work closely with Partners and Directors on client matters
About You
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Proven experience in a similar Accounts Manager / Client Manager role
- Strong UK accountancy practice experience
- Excellent knowledge of accounts and personal taxation
- Strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles
- Audit experience advantageous but not essential
- Experience using accounts and tax software
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Commercially aware and confident providing advice
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
