We're recruiting an experienced Audit Partner or Audit Director ready to step up to join a growing accountancy practice in Newcastle.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional looking to take ownership of a portfolio, develop new business and play a key role in the continued growth of the firm's audit practice.
You'll work with a diverse portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and larger groups, delivering high-quality audit services while building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of audit engagements from planning through to completion
- Deliver high-quality audit and assurance services across a varied client base
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Support the growth and development of the firm's audit offering
- Provide technical leadership across audit engagements
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and relevant auditing standards
- Mentor, develop and lead audit teams
- Work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders across the wider business
- Contribute to the firm's wider strategic and commercial objectives
About You
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent xgikmsk qualified
- Significant post-qualification experience within external audit
- Proven experience managing and developing client relationships
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards
- Previous experience at Audit Manager, Senior Manager, Director or Partner level
- RI status would be highly advantageous, or you should be on track to obtain RI status
