We're recruiting an experienced Audit Partner or Audit Director ready to step up to join a growing accountancy practice in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious audit professional to take a leading role across client delivery, audit quality, team leadership and business development, working with a varied portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and larger groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Deliver high-quality audits in line with UK GAAP, IFRS and professional standards
  • Act as a trusted adviser, providing commercially focused insight to clients
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Support the strategic growth and development of the audit practice
  • Lead, mentor and develop audit teams
  • Drive audit quality, technical excellence and continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Contribute to the firm's wider strategic and commercial objectives

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified
  • Significant post-qualified external audit experience
  • Proven experience leading audits and managing client relationships
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards
  • Experience working with SMEs, owner-managed businesses and/or larger groups
  • Previous experience at Audit Manager, Senior Manager, Director or Partner level
  • RI status, or the ability and willingness to obtain RI status
  • Strong commercial awareness and business development skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive approach with the ambition to contribute at Partner level
