Due to long-term sickness cover, they are now seeking an experienced Housing Support Worker to join their team on a temporary basis.

- Based in Solihull
- 18.75 hours per week
- Working Pattern:
- Tuesday: 9:00am β 5:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am β 5:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am β 12:45pm
- No weekend working
- Site-based role at a single supported housing scheme, mother and baby unit.
- Pay Rate: Β£13.15 PAYE or Β£16.70 per hour Umbrella
- Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce) required
- Previous experience supporting young people within homelessness, supported housing, or independent living services is essential
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred housing-related support to clients in a mother and baby unit living within supported accommodation.
- Assist residents to develop independent living skills, including budgeting, tenancy management, education, training, and employment goals.
- Complete support plans, risk assessments, and regular reviews to monitor progress and outcomes.
- Support young people to sustain accommodation and prevent homelessness.
- Work closely with external agencies and partner organisations to ensure residents receive appropriate support.
- Safeguard vulnerable young people and respond appropriately to welfare concerns.
- Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service performance requirements.
- Encourage engagement with support services and promote positive wellbeing.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting young people within homelessness, housing, supported living, or related support services.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and support planning.
- Ability to build positive professional relationships and engage hard-to-reach individuals.
- Experience working within a person-centred and outcomes-focused environment.
- Enhanced DBS covering Child and Adult Workforce (or willingness to obtain one).
