Scheme Officer – Supported Housing Location: Bath, BA1 Pay Rate: £15.02 per hour PAYE | £18.99 per hour Umbrella Contract: Temporary, full-time – immediate start required Hours: 37 hours per week Shift Pattern: Rotating daytime shifts of 8:00am–4:00pm, 9:00am–5:00pm and 10:00am–6:00pm, changing every two days Working Arrangement: Fully site-based within supported housing projects The Role We are recruiting for a Scheme Officer to work across supported housing projects in Bath. This position is also referred to as a Housing Support Worker and involves providing practical housing-related support to residents who have experienced homelessness or face barriers to independent living. You will support residents to manage their accommodation, finances and responsibilities while helping the service operate safely and efficiently. This is an in-person role and is not suitable for remote or office-based working. Travel between supported housing sites in Bath may be required. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle. An Enhanced DBS covering the Adult Workforce will also be required. Key Responsibilities * Provide practical, person-centred support to residents living in supported accommodation. * Help residents develop the skills and confidence needed for greater independence. * Administer rent accounts and accurately record and pursue outstanding payments. * Support residents to complete Housing Benefit applications promptly and correctly. * Agree and monitor rent and service-charge repayment arrangements. * Complete licence agreements, sign-up documents and other housing paperwork. * Maintain accurate resident records and upload documentation to the relevant CRM system. * Support the effective operation of supported housing schemes and general-needs properties. About You * Experience supporting people who have experienced homelessness or barriers to independent living. * Knowledge of homelessness, supported housing or relevant housing legislation. * Understanding of trauma and how it may affect a person’s ability to live independently. * Experience providing advice relating to welfare benefits, debt or income maximisation. * Able to manage rent-related administration, housing documentation and confidential records. * Confident working directly with residents and partnering effectively with other agencies. * Willing and able to work the rotating daytime shift pattern across supported housing sites.
