Role: Recovery Coordinator
Location: London N15
Contract: Temporary until 30th October 2026 (potential extension)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour (PAYE)
Compliance: Enhanced DBS required
Job Purpose: As a Recovery Coordinator, you will manage a caseload of individuals experiencing drug and alcohol misuse, delivering collaborative recovery planning and structured case management across all stages of recovery. You will support service users to reduce harm, improve wellbeing, rebuild relationships, and achieve sustainable recovery outcomes within their community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of service users, developing and reviewing personalised recovery and treatment plans.
- Conduct triage, screening, and comprehensive assessments.
- Deliver structured keywork sessions supporting engagement, treatment progression, and sustained recovery.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to provide coordinated interventions and shared support plans.
- Facilitate access to treatment services, healthcare, housing, employment, and community resources.
- Complete risk assessments, safeguarding plans, and risk management interventions.
- Deliver psychosocial interventions through one-to-one and group sessions.
- Promote harm reduction approaches including drug screening, BBV testing, immunisation access, and needle exchange services.
- Support families, carers, and significant others to improve recovery outcomes and reduce substance-related harm.
- Participate in duty cover, reviews, supervision, and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Promote visible recovery and peer support opportunities within the service.
- Work in line with safeguarding legislation, organisational policies, and best practice standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience working within substance misuse, recovery services, mental health, or health & social care settings.
- Strong understanding of the complex needs associated with drug and alcohol misuse.
- Experience completing assessments, recovery plans, and risk management processes.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and multi-agency working.
- Ability to engage service users using motivational and person-centred approaches.
- IT literacy including MS Office systems.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
- Relevant qualification in addiction studies, counselling, social work, or therapeutic practice (desirable).
